Oil Boilers & Tanks

Oil Boilers are used by millions of households, usually where there is no gas network in the area. Oil offers reliable heating and hot water production, using Kerosene as the fuel, either on demand via Combi boilers or Heat Only / System boilers in conjunction with a hot water cylinder.

Like any boiler they require yearly servicing.  The service is more involved than a gas boiler, typically taking 2hrs, costs for routine servicing start at £120.

During a service the boilers burner module is removed for inspection, the fuel delivery nozzle is replaced, the fuel supply pump has its pressure checked and adjusted if neccesary. Oil boiler burners have a small section of pipe called the Flexi line which connects the movable burner to the ridgid copper supply pipework, this Flexi line is inspected and renewed if neccesary.

Once the burner is done, the boilers heat exchanger and internal baffles are checked and cleaned. On reassembly, the boiler is run to check and adjust its settings using a Flue Gas Analyser (FGA).
